Although this has the appearance of a pay and display, including giving you a ticket to put in your windscreen when you pay at the machine, and stating an end time on that ticket, the charging time starts from when you enter the car park, and ends when you leave the car park - not when you personally leave and return to your car. And if you are 1 minute over they will charge you a £100 fine. So, if you return to your car by the time stated on your ticket, but don't leave the car park until a minute after, you will receive a penalty. It did happen to us; but on subsequent check of other reviews we are far from the only people to be caught out like this.
